Chamomile tea benefits can boast many things, including helping with energy levels. A very popular trend in the recent years have been using energy drinks that contain high amounts of sugar and somtimes a dangerous amount of cafine. On Friday, Warrior Energy Inc. announced that they will be releasing a tea based energy drink by the same name which contains natural ingrediants.

"Warrior Energy comes in white tea and green tea, which means it contains naturally occurring caffeine and antioxidants. The teas come from China and Japan, Ebeling said. It is sweetened with low-calorie, low-glycemic agave nector, which is similar to honey derived from the agave cactus, according to the promotional material."

A prospect of an all natural non harmful energy drink is definitly exciting but wheather or not their claims are true is yet to be seen. To read more, check here.

Alberta's Chamomile Invasion

With all the chamomile tea benefits we sometimes forget that chamomile is actually a weed. As the city of Calgary, Alberta have come to realise, its quite a hardy weed that is hard to get rid of.

A 60 per cent jump in herbicide use by the city suggests it's time to be more aggressive in pursuing non-chemical options under Calgary's integrated pest management strategy. Herbicides are an easy and cheap way of controlling problem weeds, and, occasionally, are the best option to deal with infestations of thistles, scentless camomile, yellow toadflax and other threats to the landscape. But with improved soil and vegetation management, good design, strategic plant selection and some hard, manual labour, the city could keep its weeds under control without chemicals.

The city also seems to be looking into way to keep their weeds under control without using peciticides. For more information check out the Calgary Herald on the web.

Milk or No Milk?

Chamomile tea benefits can, amoung other things, help aid in weight loss, but the question is; have you been adding milk?

Scientists have discovered that tea contains high levels of compounds that help to reduce the amount of fat absorbed by the gut and can cut cholesterol. However proteins found in cows' milk neutralise this fat fighting ability.

Although milk is essentially a healthy choice, it seems as though some compounds cancel out the weight loss effects found in tea. For the full report check out The Telegraph.

Enjoying chamomile tea benefits from chamomile grown right in your own home can be a very rewarding experience. Especially because you know where you chamomile has come from and what methods were used to grow it (like knowing there were no nasty pesticides used during the process).

Although chamomile is a favorite herb for making tea, it's also a charming annual (grows just one year) flower that's perfect for cottage and other casual gardens.

Organic?

When selecting your tea, is it worth spending the extra cash on an organic product? Can the chamomile tea benefits be lessened or even ruined by pesticides and other regulating agents? And what exactly is the differnce between regular tea and organic tea?

Organic produce is everywhere. We can buy organic vegetables, fruits, and even “organically raised” meat. Organic beverages such as tea and coffee are also available and they are very popular. But how can you be sure the organic tea you buy is really organic?
