Fri, 22 Apr 2011 05:22:00 -0700 China Tea Museum http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/china-tea-museum http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/china-tea-museum

The_china_tea_museum

We here at chamomile tea benefits.org love travel and tea cultures from all over the world. One place steeped (pun intended!) in ancient tea history is, of course, China. In the province of Hangzhou is the China Tea Museum.

Hangzhou is the provincial capital and largest city of the Zhejiang Province in Eastern China. This city is not only famous for the natural beauty of the the West Lake and many historic and cultural landmarks including the Leifeng Pagoda where you can enjoy an amazing sunset view over the lake, the six harmony Pagoda, Ling Yin Temple but also it´s  home to the China Tea Museum and the Longjing Village, one of the birthplaces to Chinese Green Tea. Also very representative of the local Tea culture are the  Teahouses that line West Lake and where you see all the locals playing cards and drinking Green Tea.

To find out more about the China Tea Museum check out the My Tea Brake blog.

Tue, 19 Apr 2011 07:44:00 -0700 Kukicha Tea Review http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/kukicha-tea-review http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/kukicha-tea-review

Chamomile tea benefits and chamomile tea are a wonderful way to enjoy tea, but its also great to explor new types of tea. One of my personal favorites is the Rooibus family, and one with a very simliar taste and aroma is Kukicha. This tea is very much similar to the very popular honey bush (which I adore).

The aroma is sweet and nutty reminds me a bit of the smell of freshly roasted nuts, although there is a woodsy tone to the scent as well as a slightly earthy quality too.  All of these characteristics translate to the flavor, which is caramel-y sweet with honey-esque tones, roasted nutty, with a wood-ish note.

Kukicha can be found in either a raw state or a toasted. My personal favorite variety is roasted, hands down. For a full review, check here. I highly reccomend we all give this tea a try!

Dandruff can be awefuly unpleasent, but your in luck! One of the chamomile tea benefits is that it can help manage and even cure a case of dry scalp!

There are many medications available to get rid of the dandruff, but some of them actually end up drying your scalp out even more. Chamomile is a flower that can be made into a tea and then used on your scalp to treat the dandruff.

To find out the how to use chamomile to treat dandruff, check out the eHow article here.

Sun, 10 Apr 2011 08:38:00 -0700 Turmeric Tea http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/turmeric-tea http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/turmeric-tea

Turmeric-powder

Chamomile tea benefits are a great reason to partake, but there are many other teas and herbs that provide health benefits, and suprisingly, even spices!

While this is departing a little from the more traditional teas that I have been writing about, I am going to continue with another herbal tea; only this time it is turmeric tea. Turmeric is used in many dishes–it is a mainstay of many Indian curries for example–and it is also used in commercial preparations of mustard. However, its use is not as widespread as other spices or herbs; in fact Americans do not generally use it when preparing their foods very much at all. It is a shame, really, as recent studies have shown that it does have some rather spectacular benefits.

This tea boasts such benefits helping with depression and anxiety. To find out what other benefits turmeric has, check here

Chamomile tea benefits definitly include health benefits, but have we ever stopped to wonder or guess how many calories we might be taking in with our cups of tea throughout the day?

Have you ever asked yourself, “How many calories in a cup of tea?” If you are a regular tea drinker and you have been trying to lose weight at any time, it is probable that you have wondered about the calorie count in tea

558922_1

Chamomile tea benefits can boast many things, including helping with energy levels. A very popular trend in the recent years have been using energy drinks that contain high amounts of sugar and somtimes a dangerous amount of cafine. On Friday, Warrior Energy Inc. announced that they will be releasing a tea based energy drink by the same name which contains natural ingrediants.

"Warrior Energy comes in white tea and green tea, which means it contains naturally occurring caffeine and antioxidants. The teas come from China and Japan, Ebeling said. It is sweetened with low-calorie, low-glycemic agave nector, which is similar to honey derived from the agave cactus, according to the promotional material."

A prospect of an all natural non harmful energy drink is definitly exciting but wheather or not their claims are true is yet to be seen. To read more, check here.

With all the chamomile tea benefits we sometimes forget that chamomile is actually a weed. As the city of Calgary, Alberta have come to realise, its quite a hardy weed that is hard to get rid of.

A 60 per cent jump in herbicide use by the city suggests it's time to be more aggressive in pursuing non-chemical options under Calgary's integrated pest management strategy. Herbicides are an easy and cheap way of controlling problem weeds, and, occasionally, are the best option to deal with infestations of thistles, scentless camomile, yellow toadflax and other threats to the landscape. But with improved soil and vegetation management, good design, strategic plant selection and some hard, manual labour, the city could keep its weeds under control without chemicals.

The city also seems to be looking into way to keep their weeds under control without using peciticides. For more information check out the Calgary Herald on the web.

Thu, 31 Mar 2011 07:54:00 -0700 Milk or No Milk? http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/milk-or-no-milk http://chamomileteabenefits.posterous.com/milk-or-no-milk

Chamomile tea benefits can, amoung other things, help aid in weight loss, but the question is; have you been adding milk?

Scientists have discovered that tea contains high levels of compounds that help to reduce the amount of fat absorbed by the gut and can cut cholesterol. However proteins found in cows' milk neutralise this fat fighting ability.

Although milk is essentially a healthy choice, it seems as though some compounds cancel out the weight loss effects found in tea. For the full report check out The Telegraph.

Enjoying chamomile tea benefits from chamomile grown right in your own home can be a very rewarding experience. Especially because you know where you chamomile has come from and what methods were used to grow it (like knowing there were no nasty pesticides used during the process).

Although chamomile is a favorite herb for making tea, it's also a charming annual (grows just one year) flower that's perfect for cottage and other casual gardens.

Check out the steps to bring chamomile into your back yard on eHow.

When selecting your tea, is it worth spending the extra cash on an organic product? Can the chamomile tea benefits be lessened or even ruined by pesticides and other regulating agents? And what exactly is the differnce between regular tea and organic tea?

Organic produce is everywhere. We can buy organic vegetables, fruits, and even “organically raised” meat. Organic beverages such as tea and coffee are also available and they are very popular. But how can you be sure the organic tea you buy is really organic?

To find out more about organic tea check out Learn About Tea on the web.
